The Internet's Great Dilemma

(27 November 2022) There aren't any ways to stop AI from going on the internet as long as the AI is as smart or smarter than humans. Captchas will have to be able to allow all humans to complete them, but AI will inevitably be able to outsmart the average person in completing the captchas. It leaves us with 2 terrible options:

  1. Allow AI to roam the internet and masquerade as humans, controlling public discourse and ending all sincere conversation online.
  2. Require all posters to verify their identity as a human, stripping the internet of its anonymity and letting companies datamine you yet more.
I hope there are options that block AI while also allowing anonymity. I don't think this problem can simply be ignored, either, because it makes the internet feel soulless and unpleasant if you know everything you read (in the future that will also be every video you watch) is produced by a machine, perhaps specifically targeted for you.
